Really, why not set them as high as you think is legal if you are so certain ? Would be interested to know how much too high they were on dip beam bud, bet you didn't think to check that.

As I said they were set on a beam tester and are still below what is acceptable I am confident that
they wont blind anyone, never been flashed even asked others I ride with no complaints at all,
if there were I would adjust them down, I think they are adjusted to low from new the pool of light,
aiming point is still not far from the front of the bike

Xmax 400

Good pick up but engine note lacking in umph?
Felt wallowy ish and you could feel the extra 40kg weight
Comfortable seat
Good protection from screen
Computer showed 61mpg

Xmax 300

Bluecore engine...a peach!
Awesome throttle response reminded me of gts 300 but with more power
Excellent on motorway
Computer showed 96mpg!!!!!!!
Just more FUN
Still of opted 300 regardless of cost difference

Roads and trials Barnsley offered 0% only place I've found doing such an offer Steve sales manager spot on despite my fussyness!!!

Hence bought the 300 in blue pick up week on fri!

Interesting. The 400 does weigh as much as a Tmax! On paper the 300 looked pretty good - not a lot less power with a lot less weight - but you can never tell. Your tests seem to confirm the theory!

The mpg is indeed impressive. I've been getting 99mpg of late on my 30+ mile commute into central London.

When I first looked at the 300 I saw it was listed under Sports I must admit I thought balls , but after 5000 miles I can see were they are coming from.

I was tempted to hold fire till the new Forza arrives but it's 3bhp less and I'm just not convinced it'll have the same grunt anyway decision made!
