Dam awkward to get anything up the back of the engine to clean it,
if the weather plays nice I hope to hit the 1000 by sunday or Monday,
cant see your pics though just a little block with img at the side.

Wow, Mr Xmax...it looks very very clean and nice..;)...I didn't go out today as I got back from work too late for a decent trip...Will try to go to the East Coast next time and bring the scoot nearer to the 500 If I can...this little machine amazes me and I fell well protected on it...Got a few looks from the bikers as I am riding along at my 40+ mph...then I talk to my baby and say" Dont worry ,baby soon we will overtake them all !!"...
I thought I had fever but no...I just talk to my scoot to pass the time !!:) ..Anyway...after work I took a bucket, a shovel, a pickaxe and went to dig a path for my scoot...I just needed to widen the exit as it is a pedestrian path and I got so annoyed with the amount of manoeuvre I have to do just to pass that little section...nice and easy now and I do not have to stop start etc etc...It would be so easy to have a patch like you have just for convenience..:)

Anyone got any tips for removing the front panel?
I have had the two screws out and the ears can then be
pulled outwards but though the panel moves a little
it seems to need more force than I fancy giving it, do
you pull it down towards the front wheel? wouldn't mind
I have seen it off at the dealers but didn't take enough notice.

Think it slides up but I know it's definitely described in the manual.

No, you're doing it right and it does need a lot of force to remove.

Thanks chaps it's sat in the sun at the mo so will have another go
when it gets warm, now over 1000 miles so run in, a short run on
the M-way shows it is happy to sit at 70 showing just under 6k rpm
with no signs of strain at all.

Got the bugger off, it's so easy once you know what comes off
with the front and were to pull.
