New X-Max 400
Well I collected it today, 9 days later than planned, but it's here now! It certainly seem's to handle differently, but not been out of the city yet to try it on the twistys. The parking brake is brilliant and very well placed on the handlebars. I got the Yamaha heated grips as an option, but they don't seem to be very warm, so a trip back to dealer to see if there's an issue with them. Getting used to the smart key, just find it strange not having to get the key out of my pocket! Actually got it hanging round my neck when using bike. Sunday is looking like a nice dry day so a trip out to the country is on the cards.

Got used to the key thing now hardest thing was opening the fuel cover
and locking the bars, the fuel cap it's self is easy to get jammed if they
are the same as the 300 that is.

Find the fuel cap better than the previous model 400, it was like a plastic jerry can! But have only used it once so will find out! Yeah know what you mean about the button. I've unlocked the filler flap a few times when trying to lock steering!!

With the fuel cap under it it has two lugs one on top of the other
when you put it back you can end up with one each side of the tank
top ie splitting them, it goes on ok just a bit stiff but is a real bugger to get off.

Well I've now got 135 miles on the clock and really enjoying it, handles a lot better than previous model. Just can't wait till it's run in so I can get a bit more speed and try the over taking abilities. I've washed it twice already, used baby shampoo and works a treat!
