Hi I need some front and rear pads for the silverwing.
But one of my pet hates is noisey pads on the dilled holes etc.
So can anyone sugest any that make no noise please.
Considering EBC organic or Ferod eco friction.
Anyone tried those please ? etc etc
Many Thanks Mark.

Ferodo were OE on the XMax250 I had... and lasted no time at all... 2000 miles!?!
I go EBC for all my scoots F and R - Great Feel, Great Breaking, Last A while and Good price...
https://ebcbrakes.com/products/scooter-brake-pads/
They do a Carbon (SFAC)...
https://ebcbrakes.com/product/sfac-seri ... oter-pads/
'Half Way' between Basic Organic Kevlar (SFA) and the Sintered (SFA HH)... running these on the XMAx400 as its a bigger heavier scoot..
No 'Whizz' or 'Hiss' as compared to HH Sintered, and take less time to come in......
Maybe ideal for the silverwing...
Check OE fittings regarding ABS use etc...

I always fit EBC when I renew pads but once they have bedded in they do bite quickly
I like this and you get used to it just mentioning it if you don't like it.

Do you think the SFA196 and SFA 281 organic ebc pads will be good enough.
They sugest going up for bigger scoots etc.
I`m a slow rider anyway really on the whole.
Thank you are all the advice people.
Best Mark.

Why not just visit your local Honda dealer and buy OEM pads

Re: Pad Noise ? EBC or ferodo
Our nearest is a good 1 hour plus away. 65 odd mile round trip, that will easily buy me a set of ebc ones delivered in fuel alone.
I have rung them before about some yamaha ones and they could not help anyway. Well they said they might be able to ( but did`nt seem to want to !!! ) but £35-£40 so left it there.
Might try them again though for the Honda.
I might just pop on David Silver as never know etc.
Best Mark. Thanks.

Hi Thanks, going to order some then.
The main thing was to get some with no disc noise.
Thanks for the PB number is it is low too.
Well the all seem to be about 1.5mm left or so.
Best Mark.

Re: Pad Noise ? EBC or ferodo
Hi well I got the EBC organic front brake pads in, and I will say I love the feel and the way are/work if you will, but I think the composition may have changed, they do look part metalic and they are quite noisey on the disc.
I did hope that would reduce as they bedded in, but its actually gone up as they settled back.
I`ll probably keep them in as sort of getting used to it, but next time I will try some cheapies I think like Rhino or Kyoto. Or get the Honda ones. £45 posted was just a lot for those at the moment with my rear brake costs/issues etc.
Anyone used any other makes that are quiet just out of interest.
Thanks Mark.
