Well the average maxi's boot space must seem like a Tardis to most bikers....

Re: Thoughts on a new scoot
So at the end of the month I shall be going to my local dealer to get the x max, now...I'm in two minds... my credit history is not great, so I can either put down a 2700 deposit and hope I get finance on the rest...or I have the option to buy it straight out if it fails.. finance would suit me better as then I can afford to get new year which I badly need, if not and I have to buy it out right , is there anything I can say to get a better deal? Like money off or chuck in a new lid?? Never brought anything new right out so just wondering if these dealers do deals etc..

Well..dealers usually have some slack in prices, if you play hard to get. Though as ever, it depends on what you are buying and whether they are keen to shift it or not. If you want the latest shiny thing that everyone else wants then the dealer won't be that interested. On the other hand, if what you want has been blocking the showroom floor for months, then they will be keener to discount!
I think they get commission on finance deals, so they prefer them to cash.

Lol, so true that , thinking I need 6 chains, 2 disc locks, inside a steel garage and I might be half safe with it

Go through one of the comparison sights pretending to look for a quote. They have drop down boxes listing all the approved locks & chains.
Scribble a few down then trawl internet to see which Is for sale special offer or discounted.
Can save over £20 a chain set
