New to the forum. I mentioned in my intro that I was thinking of switching from a CB125F to a maxi scooter.

Well, I went down to my local dealer to just take a look at what they had and of course when you're not sure you've got the money together you end up seeing something awesome.
Saw a Yamaha XMAX 125. 2015 with only 300 miles on clock but really cheap. English guy had it in Spain for his holiday home but never used it so the store was selling it on his behalf.
I went home and thought about it but then went back today and bought it.
Picking it up on Monday. I'm convinced I'll prefer a maxi scooter to a motorbike. I'll still do the MOD2 on a geared bike as I'm already progressing with that.
If I love the XMAX 125, then who knows, perhaps once my test is done, will probably look at a bigger scoot.
Took the plunge.

Nice...
Loads of new (or new to you) scoots being had... Must be the weather...
Enjoy ya new ride!
Once you try a scoot there is often no going back...

Majesty 125 was my "first bike" when I came back to bikes aged 40 something.

Re: Took the plunge.
There's a logical progression here - Xmax 125, pass test, T-Max 530. Result - happiness!

There is likely to be an intermediate phase - Xmax 300 or 400, then TMax!rjc1944 wrote:There's a logical progression here - Xmax 125, pass test, T-Max 530. Result - happiness!

Not bad considering the new price of > £4000.
