Having read all the following I'm leaning towards buying one of these...here in Malta the roads are...shall we say..."interesting" with diesel spills a common sight pot holes that swallow scooters whole and no drains for the rain water that sometimes floods the roads.
So, having had an MP3 250 and an MP3 500 fouco when they first came out and then selling them when the head bearing problem surfaced. Now reading the new spec,,,ABS, Traction control etc and hopefully the bearing problem has been fixed and my advancing years [71 now] and my brain dont work as fast as the engine. Is It's time to go back to a 3 wheeler...I loved the ones I had before.
So what do you guys think.

Re: MP3 350...advice please
500 is better, but I suppose for a small Island the 350 will be a peach. Mind you need to get out in that Rover more!

Typo error ?
Engine: Single-cylinder 4-stroke
Displacement: 278 cc
Bore x Stroke: 78 mm x 69 mm
Distribution: Single overhead cam shaft (SOHC) with 4 valves and roller tappets
Fuel system: Electronic injection
In my book 278 cc is nearer to 300 than 350.

Re: MP3 350...advice please
Yes, its an MP3 300, not a 350, which is a pity, as the 350 engine is a beast (35bhp), but the 300 is pretty wimpy (22bhp I think), and the MP3 is a big old thing. There was supposed to be a bigger engined Tricity coming out - possibly its not coming to the UK, but it might be obtainable on Malta.

Re: MP3 350...advice please
I thought it was talking about the 350....am I wrong?
Piaggio steps up its backwards-leaning-trike game ahead of MY2018 with brushed up looks and a brand new 350 cc engine. The larger engine replaces the 300 and promises greater performance to go with its urbanite looks and unique front-suspension system that delivers a safe and stable ride without sacrificing the feeling of flight that makes leaning into the corners so much fun. Electronic safety features bolster the inherent stability of the Delta-trike design to make the MP3 as safe as possible, and Piaggio seems to have accomplished that with a trifecta of features that work together to provide overlapping safety nets. Think I’m overstating it? I don’t think that is possible with this ride.

Looks good to me Terry, deffo a 350. It'll be the Beverly engine I suppose and, I'm led to believe, they fly along.

Re: MP3 350...advice please
Hi Terry, I reccon the 350 would be more than adequate for your needs on the island and as you have mentioned, you did enjoy both the MP3 models you had in the uk. I certainly enjoyed my Fuoco. That said, by your own admission you are not getting any younger and a lighter three wheeled trike, if available on the island, might prove to be an alternative option to consider.
