Sometimes riders that as you put it make progress get better tyre miles than those that
plod about due to them using the full width of the tyre, not as though there is anything
wrong with ploding.

Its used almost daily and I like to 'make progress'. They aren't expensive tyres and I really rate them highly both in the wet and dry for grip, feedback and stability.
Might have to give them a try for the mk6- have to see how much they are compared to Michelin Pilot Rd 5s...(can't afford B.stone SC2s!!)

Thanks - may give them a try next then!

If I recall correctly, the Kymco AK550 comes with Metzeler tyres from the factory, so as the AK550 is supposed to have very sharp handling, they must be pretty good!

Front tyres always wear on the right shoulder most as they are fighting the camber of the road on right turns, in left turns the camber helps.
But its still strange that the front wears more than the rear.
Have you been playing on a roundabout? :-)

No...main use is on rural roads (quite quick ones). The mk4 also wore its front tyre out a bit quicker than the rear, though the difference on the mk6 seems greater. The front is clearly looking like the tread is getting low with a replacement needed in a few weeks/months, whilst the rear looks like its only half to 2/3 worn.
