The scooter they rode in on will either be stolen or on cloned plates.

Hope you get it sorted soon. the levels of crime is at shocking levels. I've been out of London for the last 5 years or so and a lot has changed since. I used to have no trouble going in and parking in the city but nowadays i'm even scared to go on my 17 year old fjr...

That is really sad....Thieves should be strung up and whipped severely to teach a lesson! My scoot is a Honda Foresight, its old but like new and would be almost impossible to replace if stolen, I've bought a new chain/lock that is Thatcham approved and weighs almost as much as the bike, but still I'm thinking about fitting (having fitted) a DATATOOL Imobiliser and Datatool Tracker to the scoot - well, Two scoots actually counting the Spazio/Helix.

When a newish bike/scoot is stolen replacement by insurers is relatively straight forward but if its older and more cherrished then replacement problems are a bigger deal!

It's a crap feeling mate. I've had two m/c's stolen in the past. Utter bastards. Hopefully you'll never see it again and you can pop out and buy a new one with the insurance.

Its a funny business with the Police, these days how they prioritise what they do, and more importantly don`t do !!!

Mobile speed check cameras all over here these days.

The government don`t see any correlation between dwindling police numbers and stations and rampant crime or not sending people away either !!!!

It bothers me that everytime a bike or car is stolen, the police don`t contact you but get in touch with a privtae pound type place who retireive it, and once there the police get a £150 sweetner fee, on each vehicle from you or the insurance company ( effectively you/us ).

So when you get these repeat almost non stop steally types like both my sons bikes went to 2 different lots, its a lovely cash generator almost working for the police coffers.

Why would you stop them !!! its a very bad system.

The police who were mildly involed with my sons thefts were all very nice and sypatheic etc and wanted to sort these beggars out but are so oddly restricted !!! its bizzare really.

Best Mark.
