Post by Scootypuff snr »

Appears peugeot might be back in the mid range scooter engine party next year (having been Indian owned?) & with the demise of the satellis

Slightly baffled by that...they say it looks like a big scooter, but it looks pretty small to me. Then they say its a revised CityStar, which I think comes in 125 and 200 variants. We'll obviously find out later on.

At least they are developing new stuff. Hope they come back to the 250/300 market with a proper maxi.

Or anything else that doesn't say Peugeot on the side. I'm tempted to say they should stick to making things with 4 wheels, but they haven't even knocked out a decent car since the mid '90s.

Some of the small ones were, e.g. the V-Clic is the same as something badged as a Sinnis. Not that that's a bad thing IMO - the Chinese made stuff can't be any worse made than the Euro-built Pugshite I've worked on in the past.

Nope part of the maharinda motor group totally Indian and should therefore have a lot of small cc machine builds behind them but probably why the dropped the larger cc market due to lack of R&D in their home country dominated by Royal Enfield

Anything Citystar and up (currently Satelis and Metropolis) are French built. Lower end stuff are either made in Taiwan (basically rebadged Sym) or in mainland China (the V-Clic was a Baotian).
