If I had the cash ( I don`t !!! ) and it was under £7K I would love one as slightly lower than the T max seat wise.
But going to look for a nice T max MK2 over winter.
It looks superb and I wonder if its better on bumps ( my usual concern ) than the T max.
I`ve often owndered why Honda never went for a more T max like scooter or altered the Silverwing that way to a degree.
The Sym TL500 is higher and chain driven sadly.
I bet if they did the AK550 at say £7995 they would fly out fairly fast.
But I suppose everything is suffering a bit from Brexit premium with the £1 as it is.
I dare say without that it could of been under £8K.
Best Mark.

No its not but I`m sure it would be cheaper if the pound was stronger.
Well it would be.
Thats all, and a shame as might of helped sales if a tad under £8K.
The £1`s about 14% ish down on Taiwan New Dollar May 2016 rates I think.

Well I made it up to J&S at Eynsham. Weather was much worse than the previous days forecast. One of those days when I'm glad to drive a car even though there was a lot of slow moving traffic and reduced visibility in the downpours.
There were no fewer than six scooters lined up but very few takers even though by lunchtime the weather had eased off. Good news is that the machine I rode was impossible to fault. Expensive and not superbike fast but very smooth and manageable. It felt like a Rolls Royce compared to the Downtown 300. Comfortable seating, adjustable screen that worked at 70 mph, deep underseat storage, didn't feel anything like as heavy as the figures show. All together a confidence inspiring ride. I really do hope I can find a way to buy one soon.
Incidentally even though it was on the J&S premises I don't think they showed much interest since they don't sell bikes there, just riding kit.

Sounds pretty much the situation where I live. My nearest Kymco dealer is listed as "Bikes of Brighton."
Great shop for kit and consumables, but that's what it is, a shop for gear not bikes. No proper showroom, no bikes in stock except a few used bikes in the shop window.

Re: 2018 Kymco AK550 v TMAX | ROAD TEST
I saw one at J+S Northwich last sunday, its a big luxury scooter all right. I was impressed. The only concern for me is Kymco in the UK arn't as poular as Jap scoots, I'm sure they are as good, but parts /re sale value would put me off buying one.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.
