spotted this while cruising the tube. does this mean the old xmax is on it's way ?

Re: tmax 250
Very odd. This appears to be a video of a mk5 Tmax. Can't imagine that a 250 is on its way, and if it was, i presume it'd look rather more like a mk6 Tmax

Re: tmax 250
saw that it is a mk5 T max . But heh I guess they could bring out a 250 . It would be pretty underpowered if it has the same body / frame but only a 250cc engine . Any news on a 530 update ?

Re: tmax 250
Yes/No...don't forget the Tmax is relatively light by Maxi standards - the Xmax 400 weighs the same, as do most 400s, so it may not be THAT bad, but Yes, you'd want more power. I can't imagine that they'd actually do a 250 - they'd be much more likely to use the new Xmax 300 engine (possibly with extra grunt).
I guess the next Tmax (530) evolution will most likely be announced in Autumn 2019 for the 2020 model year, 3 years after the mk6.
Re: tmax 250
If it's a single cylinder (as it says on the video) can't call it a T (twin)Max......have to be a S Max... surely??

Re: tmax 250
Might well be a local version only (Malaysia?) This sort of thing isn't unknown - Ferraris were sold in Italy with 2 litre engines because of Italian tax laws.

Re: tmax 250
Who said that T stood for Twin? In that case, what does X in Xmax stand for?
I guess that someone somewhere was thinking about the new (in 2018) Xmax and out of ignorance put a Tmax video on instead.
Re: tmax 250
I agree...the T does not stand for twin.....(just injecting was little humour).....cos we know it's a XP500/530
Wonder what XP stands for ?

Re: tmax 250
Oh no...Japanese model codes are a mystery beyond human comprehension! Why XP for the Tmax? Why FJS for the Silverwing? Why are bigger Burgmans 400 & 650 AN despite being different scoots, but the smaller ones UH? Why do Xmaxs and Majestys all have the same model code (YP)? Why are almost all Honda 125 scoots FES despite being very different scoots??
