Yamaha xmax 125 2018 fuel

Hi guys,

What's does this mean, being a bit thick not too sure..

When approximately 2.4 L (0.63US gal, 0.53 Imp.gal) of fuel re-mains in the fuel tank, the last seg-ment of the fuel meter will startflashing. The display will automat-ically change to the fuel reservetripmeter "F Trip" and start count-ing the distance traveled from thatpoint.

Does this mean, when it gets to the reserve it will start counting down the amount of miles I have before it's empty? ,trying to gauge how many miles I will get out of 2.4L

Probably 30 to 40 miles on a 125 .

The F trip will start to count up miles so it's telling you how many miles you have done since the display started to flash.

It sounds like it starts from zero, counting how many miles you've ridden since the segment started flashing. If you've got about half a gallon then you'll be able to work out how far that gets you hopefully.

That is how the Honda's do it now and it is a reet pain in the but, cos when you go up/down a steep hill in the first ten miles or so, it will revert back to normal trip meter. Then it starts all over again after it has settled down, so you can not rely on it being correct if you live in a hilly area..

How many miles on reserve obviously depends on the fuel consumption! On the Tmax, i get around 58mpg or 12 miles per ltr (approx), so 2.4ltrs will give you 29. An Xmax 125 should be way more economical than that - if you get 80mpg, thats roughly 18 miles pr ltr, so 2.4ltrs mean 43 more miles.

Thanks guys, that helps a lot, I've always filled up when on last bar, normal when I fill up again I only put in 9 to 10 litres, so I've not used 3 to 4 litres that was left, I get to 230 miles and then fill up, that's my gauge at 230, it's nice to know I can go further with out worrying as much
