Ive not heard a bad word about them, there is a lot of classic scoot copies about at the moment, which I think is great. A mate has a Scomadi 125 and raves about it. By all accounts the royal alloy are as good so check one out. icon_moped.gif

Made in China will do it Also. Plus it is a lot of money for a made in China 200cc bike that will have a motor made by one of any number of factories around the country, and who knows if it is one of the good factories or not...only another thought..

IIRC Scomadi commissioned a Chinese Manufacturer/builder to put together the first batches of Scomadis. They fell out (through financial issues not manufacturing quality etc.) and Scomadi went elsewhere to get their scooters built.

Meanwhile, there was nothing in the respective contracts that stopped the original Chinese firm from making scooters to the same/similar designs.

So, they carried on, and called themselves Royal Alloy. For what they are, both marques have a good reputation. 8-)

Me, for all their weaknesses, I'd love an AJS Modena in orange. :D
