My cousin read about the 2 stroke motor in a motorcycle mag or MCN.

I do still have the mobile number of the chap who altered the 2003 silverwing, I`ll have to give him a call, it was about 60mpg.

He moved a sensor to a different position, and then checked the plugs etc.

I suppose the engine should be good for it as the post 2007 ish silverwings do 60+ easily enough.

The best MPG I ever knew of was my eldests super 8 Kymco 4 stroke 50cc, 120+ and that was in hilly lands too.

His YBR 125 did over a ton mpg too though.

Anyone know what the best MPG usual road car and bike is out of interest.

150mpg is a common occurence on C90club. That's with pretty much stock C90s and Innovas. Start bugger!ng around with carbs, exhausts and air filters and it drops like a stone.

My '92 C90 is stock apart from a Chinese aftermarket carb (copy of stock Keihin) and it does 140-150mpg.

Suzuki address 110 did 140mpg without any issues at all.
Loaded with kit breezed 120mpg.

Xmax 300 giving me 105mpg

I know it's not as good as the C90 or Address but for a 28hp 300cc, I'm amazed.

WOuldn't mind one of those ZEV's, theyr'e a bit cagy on prices though, shame.

I would be very cautious about ZEV.
They have a dodgy reputation, dubious claims and the company owner, Darus Zehrbach was convicted of fraud over taking money for amazing aircraft kit engines that never existed.

Your money to do as you wish and none of my business but my advice is do your homework and some background digging on that one - and I wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t voice concern to a fellow muppet.

Electric ? The price of change..... the cost of electric cars are most likely to be the biggest deterrent to purchase, as we age the £ gets weaker by the day, the real value of a 'wage' similarly reduces yearly and yet people are expected to splash out enormous sums for electric vehicles. In retirement money is finite and always will be unless one is into Bitcoin Trading or the like. I had my two cars converted to LPG more than 20 years ago and they are still going strongly and helping to reduce noxious gasses released into the atmosphere.

I Know good in it ,the sh 125i is even better but the tweet is not so good.

When petrol is refined it takes approx 5 - 8 KWh of electricity just to make one gallon of petrol.
So when we don’t have to rely on petrol there will be a huge surplus of electricity.
For reference my little electric car will do 45 miles on the electricity that was used producing that one gallon of petrol!

Thats a good point. Makes a lot of sense when you look at it that way.

Still will have the conking out everywhere issue`s at rush hours, or just slowing down with low charge etc to contend with though.

And looking how things are going the UK won`t be able to afford the massive infrastructure costs or the cars etc sadly.

Paying for food is going to be tough enough possibly for the next 20 years.

With the £1 going further west I suppose 2nd hand bike and car prices will be rising too.

Its quite possible the environment will go to the back of the Que.
