My daily commute by Tmax is 12 miles each way.
An electric maxi scoot could easily do that and more besides, plus a high torque motor would be brilliant. I could recharge it whilst at work. The only drama is the purchase price, I think the BMW electric scoot starts at about £13k.

Yamaha just signed a deal with a Taiwanese company who have already set up 750 scooter battery swapping stations in Taiwan. If they decide to take this global, it could be the big bump start needed.

I saw a electric scooter recently that had a removable battery.
As you operated the lever a set of wheels lowered and the battery was on a trolley that you could wheel to a plug.
It was a really good idea, and you could remove the battery in seconds

I see all sorts of astounding mpg figures quoted for C90s... I've ridden many different members of the Honda step-thru family, and I never saw anything like the numbers quoted above. The bog-stock 1988 12V 90 that I still own has never returned more than 90mpg, the Innova managed 80mpg at best (although I know injected ones can do 100+mpg). As for the 110cc Lifan I commuted on for three years, the 75mpg that averaged was easily equalled (and bettered under certain circumstances) by an Xevo400.capitano wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 2:31 am150mpg is a common occurence on C90club. That's with pretty much stock C90s and Innovas. Start bugger!ng around with carbs, exhausts and air filters and it drops like a stone.
My '92 C90 is stock apart from a Chinese aftermarket carb (copy of stock Keihin) and it does 140-150mpg.
Granted I'm 15st, but not massively heavy on the throttle so I'm not sure where I was going wrong.

It's pretty commonplace, Jaz.Jaz wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 6:02 pmI see all sorts of astounding mpg figures quoted for C90s... I remember riding with Barker from C90club on one of SteveW's Kent rides.
Barker was on his F.I Innova and I was on my Cub. We filled up at the same time twice so we were able to do a comparison. Both bikes had achieved over 140 mpg. I think the Innova was slightly better than the Cub,probably due to me having to hold 2nd on hills and him having 4 gears to play with.
I don't check mine every fill up, but keep an eye on it on C90club runs etc. It's always over 140 mpg when checked. I'm by no means alone in the low consumption Cub club either. I am under 12 stone but it shouldn't make that much difference.
