Possibly been done before but be interesting to see what sort of miles we have on our bikes now.
I wonder if there are any really large mileages ?
I usually buy one still in single figures and sell in the 30`s somewhere.
My current bike is a Silverwing 21,800 miles showing.
Best Mark.

Think it's easier to count my ownership in months than miles

Bought my 2011 Tmax Mk3 last October at 27,000 now on 32,500. Just done my first service on it plus a set of Dr Pulleys and a twin headlamp mod. I hope to exceed at least 70,000 on it, its brilliant.
My '08 BMW GS is just run in at 49,000 miles in ten years, I shall do a mid-life refit with new shocks and exhaust headers ready for the next 100,000 miles. Its greater than the sum of its parts.
My '05 3.2 V6 DSG Audi TT Quattro has just clicked over 100,000 after 13 years and needs new camchains and dual mass flywheel. It only does about 3000 miles a year, but its so much driving pleasure for so little money. Hairdresser jokes welcome, try driving one in anger!
No more sports bikes for me, I'm not fast enough anymore and have too many points/aches in my joints. My previous '99 4XV model R1 was my last.
I like to enjoy my older machinery for what it is, do my own maintenance and get my moneys worth, you can keep all your latest fashion victim techno stuff and its associated finance deals.

If anyone can get an X9 to 100k it will be Dave or Bob (also on X9OC).Meldrew wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 9:11 amAlthough it has to be said Dave Milnes and Alice D aren't on here. As I recall Mr Milnes (TmaX9) who seemed very knowledgable about engine oily bits left the Muppets five years ago but remains a big cheese on the X9 forum. Alice posted a lot on that forum too when I was on it, but I'm more familiar with her occasional and very good gear reviews on web bike world.
I don't know the mileage of my bike as it doesn't have a mileometer, but I must have used it a bit in the last four years because the badly worn rear tyre punctured yesterday on my way to the gym and I'm off the road waiting for a replacement tyre.
