No, I haven't as I'm still a bit compromised at the moment and long runs are out of the question on anything until I've undergone surgery, hopefully later this year.

I find my silverwing a little better than the MK1 T max leg room wise with the back rest off.

Of course the T max may off been too with its off, but the silverwing feels much more right without it.

You seem to be able to find the odd really nice 2001-2004 ish silverwing in good well looked after order for around 1K, with not too many miles.

And a post 2007 Silverwing with the better MPGs for around £1500 + or so.

I don`t think the Silverwing is as good as the T max in some ways, but the feet down job on a silverwing really makes a difference for me.

Though I miss the odd Hooligan moment on the T max. Going Hooligan on a Silverwing isn`t as easy an option as it needs much more advance warning if you will.

Both great bikes though.

Yes,It was a 12 plate but it just rode differently,, I never took to it.. The mk2 has been great. I bought it off Craig 9 years ago and had the odd problem but still going strong. The prices of a Tmax go up and down like the price of oil. Here's a cheap one..

I think you are getting confused over pricing, or between models.

A year ago I paid £3500 at a Yamaha dealer for a near-mint 2011 white (61 plate) Mk3 with 27k on it, its had a few owners too. I have resolved a few minor issues and modded the variator with Dr Pulleys which has transformed it, plus a genuine yamaha topbox.

Cheap to run and service yourself with basic toolkit.

Several Mk 3's recently around £3k with less miles than mine.

Tmax is an awesome little machine. Get one, whichever suits your budget. Mk3 is my advice.

Maybe so. I thought this was a MK2 as it is a 2006 model. It's 55 miles away from me and up for £3200.

Also this one, which it says it's a 2007. I figured that was a Mk2 too. It's up for £3190.
