With some regret I think it's time to sell my Vespa. I had a heart attack last week and I'm recovering at home now, stent fitted so fingers crossed! I need to sell the scooter as my confidence has taken a beating. I'll possibly get another scooter one day but I can't see the point in leaving it in the garage over winter rotting away lol. Anyway, it's 4 years old in December GTS touring, extras are Vespa colour coded top box, Faco twin screen,, original one in loft, gel seat, original one in loft. It serviced by supplying dealer Ron Daley Barnsley until this year's service, as it had done do few miles I changed the filter and oil myself using oem filter and Halfords synthetic oil. It also has a front mud flap. It's in nice condition, a tiny stone mark, hardly noticable on one side panel and a little paint bubbling on the belt cover. It shines like new really. I just wondered what I can expect to get if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I have just sold my scooter for similar reasons. My wife was worried every time I went out on it . so l know how you are feeling. But like me you could sill go to the meets with your partner in the car .

I think you could do without the hassle of selling privately. Daley’s price is fair. Colchester Vespa are knocking out new GTS’s for £3,999 at the moment. A good friend has just negotiated a ridiculously good price on a new GTS from my old dealer here. Whatever you decide, don’t stress yourself out over the deal, you can sell the bits in the loft when you feel up to it.
