I lay money on that photo of the cheapo 32mm socket you're so keen to show us is a 12 point rather than a 6 point. So there's more chance of it slipping and rounding off a stubbornly tight wheel nut than a 6 point socket, and if that does happen it isn't really a bargain.

I'd have preferred a 6 side impact one but its not as you correctly say .Will it remove the nut Ill let you know when time comes .I'm well aware of the difference .I'll go for quick buzz with impact gun rather than standing on end of a breaker bar .Thanks for your concern and input .

What a nightmare thought...Meldrew as Santa. Soon get the kids saying they don't believe in him! Those that aren't in therapy anyway.

Now how do you know that young smeghead is actually referring to moi, Meldrew? My fellow old git, lapsed Muppet, and fressing mate Brubaker also lives in York and rides a Silver Wing. I occasionally see another old boy round York on a Silver Wing too. He wears an open face and looks remarkably like Uncle Albert in Only Fools and Horses, or maybes he's the Santa.

B&Q will honour any warranty as long as there's a receipt and you have not beat it to death with a sledge hammer
