I've got the shad rack sorted for it. £10 brand new .an going to use my kappa 52ltr for now.with a universal plate.Snail wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 4:30 pm Well fancy that, must say our burgman suits us two up better than our sh did, better physical size for two and just seems torquey, got 1200 miles on ours now, I wouldn't say it was quick as the sh but seems just .......right? It was quite a big decision to move away from honda.
If you are going to have a box, I would suggest the Suzuki genuine steel rack and our givi monolock v47 fits straight to it no need for any adaptor plates
Hope you have fun with it

Ah, you've piqued my interest again. I just haven't seen the latest Burg 400 since it was first released and had really forgotten about it. Which is a shame. I think you've made a great choice there, it should be comfortable for some longer rides and fast enough too.
I would agree that the Forza 3 is a little too compact and lacks the feet-forward roominess - and I'm no 6+ footer- but it does do some things right such as the storage I'm sure.
My old K8 Burg 400 had a 52lt storage space under the seat and was supremely comfy, even on 250+ mile runs; I don't know how these compare to your 2018 Burg 400 with it being slightly smaller.

Great choice phantom. Can't go wrong with the Burgman 400. Shame they reduced the underseat storage though. That was the great thing that sold it to me and why I bought my first Burgman 400 back in 2012. Let us all know how you get on with it. And...enjoy!
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

So is the new 400 an overall improvement than the 08 400, phantom - your gut feeling?

Yes, I will probably go for a Burgman 400 if I change the Maxsym (see my latest post on the 'Sym spares' thread). It is a step down in power from the Maxsym and doesn't have the under seat storage of the old model (I have had two of them) but it is probably the best option. I would like the 650 but I am put off by the horrendous price. And the weight.

It is lighter. A little quicker. Less storage which is a shame. An the seat hump thing is not a nice as the ealier ones.Capt. R Swipe wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 5:43 am So is the new 400 an overall improvement than the 08 400, phantom - your gut feeling?

Re: test rides day.
I tested both the Suzuki Burgman and Yamaha Xmax 400's before opting for the Xmax. To me the Xmax has a better build quality and seems to do just about everything that little bit better. Both very good scooters though
