to me the first question is what's the budget ? then go from there . i rode the forza 300 an burgman 400 in the same day. an the burgman out did the honda by miles. 8-) . for me anyway..much better performance, mirrors you can actually see behind you , that was a huge minus for the honda for me. :o (to have a van pull up behind me at a junction, that i didn't even know was there following me . was scary  ) , and for me a KEY yes a real KEY . this keyless crap is a pain in the rear.. you having to make sure you have it in your pocket all the time . you become obsessed about where did you put it . :?: ..not for me ...
Good friends don't let you do stupids thing alone .

I'd say test ride as many as you can.. Forza 300 new shape looks fantastic with true feet forward position riding dead comfy.. Xmax 300 great engine but not feet forward so cramped ride.. A used burgman 400 new shape is a good shout I get over 90mpg on mine... What's your budget
?? The XMax 300 is just as FF as the Forza, surely? Could have sworn I have my feet out in front of me when I ride mine... ;-)
I'll have to check on my way, in comfort and at speed, at 90mpg, to the pie shop this morning!

Power from the current crop of 300cc should be more than adequate for your needs. However, as others have mentioned, I strongly recommend trying for ergonomics. Of all the 300cc that I have tried for size (33-34 inseam), the only one that I found suited me was Syms Cruisym 300.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery but today is a gift!

The 300 seems to be a great scooter to have because of the combination of size, weight and power, before purchasing my X-max 300 i did try the T-Max as well as the 650 BMW but they were just too big and heavy for what i needed.

For info my XMax 400 ISNT feet forward comfy, for me... More sit up and beg
Not enough room, too much of an angle at the ankle...
The 300 is roomier for the leg... And I think the Forza is even more so...
One needs to park ones arse and place ones feet - only a sit will tell...

It wouldn't surprise me if most people kept their heels on the flat section and their toes angled up, rather than putting their feet fully up on the angled section. Most maxi scoots should be capable of that, I would have thought.
