Ive noticed that about service costs, and the vespa dealer near me isn't a place I like to visit ( to be polite).
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

Really enjoying my 2017 Vespa GTV 300 (sold T Max & Vespa PX 210 to help fund), found a good local independent for all servicing needs after having the first one done by the local Piaggio agent. Theft is an issue & I'm more security conscious in that respect (mind T Max was a target too). Mines a Euro 4, standard pipe replaced with a Scorpion & variator / clutch now Polini items..puts a big smile on my face everytime I go out on it..highly recommended here..no beard (not allowed) but a big 'tache'...wouldn't say no to an HPE engine but sticking with what I've got (does the job).

I had a new one in 2011 and, while it rode very well it was horrendously expensive on servicing (every 5,000 km) because I was riding 10,000 miles a year at the time and the speedo cable was very difficult to replace.
I guess the service intervals are longer now and the speedo is probably electronic but I wouldn't have another one
I thought they have always had a service interval at 6200 miles or one year, whichever comes first! That's what my 2016 bike has and that's what they show in the workshop manual for your bike. No 3000 mile service (5000 KM's), just a check of the engine oil and brake pad depth check done visually only. In fact, the whole bike is just so easy and quick to service that you can do it yourself. I've just done a major on mine including coolant change and brake fluid. Just so easy. If I take it to my Vespa dealer they do charge quite a lot of money for a major as they insist on taking off the wheels to clean and check the brake pads and calipers. I do that anyway but it does put the cost up. But a straightforward change airfilter, engine oil, oil filter, transmiison oil change, clean transmission air filter, change spark plug along with coolant and brake fluid doesn't cost much. Total parts came to £63 all in. Labour for the dealer to do just those things without taking the wheels off is normally 2hrs at £80ph. I do it myself of course but for those that can't it's not too bad. Taking the wheels off to do the brake clean adds 1.5hours because the exhaust has to come off etc.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 54 years & owned too many bikes to list here...
