10w30 quoted as the correct viscosity for the DCT...
Some have mentioned 'Gear Changing Issues, or Creap etc. when 10w40 is used depending on temperature etc.
Please explain to someone who doesn't know very much about the DCT why you could get creep with different oils - what sort of clutch does the DCT have (not the internal clutches obviously)? - I presume it doesn't have a centrifugal clutch like most scooters with CVT, or does it? :?:
Dual Clutch Transmission - All odd gears are accessible from one clutch and all even gears are accessible from the other, the engine automagically prepares to switch to the right gear when needed. Creap may occur with a heavier oil because it's always in a gear unless stationary and in neutral.

Thanks - are you saying it doesn't have a conventional external clutch like a bike or manual car or a centrifugal clutch like a CVT - it just takes itself out of any gear when stopped - then reselects first (using the odd numbered gear internal clutch) when the throttle is twisted?

When you come to a stop it will sit in 1st unless you select neutral, and on start it will sit in neutral until you select D in which case it goes into 1st. When on the move It's always ready for the next gear and chooses it all by itself dependent on input.
