Shame; I bet a new, lighter Burgman would be a great touring-focused alternative to the sportier T-Max. If the old one had offered cruise control and hadn't been quite so heavy it would've been in the running. My guess is they'll keep it in showrooms for as long as they can get away with before Euro5 forces them to pull it.
Upgrading engines to comply with the latest round of noise and pollution regulations is apparently a serious lift; manufacturers with more constrained budgets (like Suzuki) will be looking at their product range and making tough choices about where to allocate limited R&D budgets. Without seeing their international sales figures it would be difficult to predict what will happen.

Re: Tmax 560 unveiled!
Now I'm confused! The Yamaha UK website is now offering the new standard 560cc Tmax, the 560cc TechMax, and the old 530cc Tmax DX! I thought the DX had been withdrawn from the UK a while back!
Or are Yamaha UK doing their usual trick of dumping old models into the UK market when a new version comes out? There again, they usually offer them cheap but they are asking £11,649 for the DX, which doesn't sound like a discount and makes me worry about the price of a TechMax!

Re: Tmax 560 unveiled!
That's the same retail price it's been all year; interesting that they're all still on the website. I expect that to change when the 560's start arriving, and don't expect much of a price increase (beyond inflation/exchange rate fluctuations). The real deals will come later, when dealers start getting desperate to get rid of old stock.
Of course, the really great deals will happen this time next year, when all remaining Euro4 stock has to be legally registered before 31st December 2020...

New prices are 11,800 and 13,800 euros printed on the signs in front of the show bikes at eicma, i think thats the death knell for all but the die hard fans with deeper pockets.

Delicious! Be interesting to see what they've done to make it easier to touch a foot down. If it's just bodywork it might even be a case of the panels being interchangeable...
