Hello Jim,
Yes, I understand just how debilitating a heart thing can be. I died a couple of times back in 2014 after a bad heart problem developed. Of course, I came back to life again (you may have realised that) thanks to our wonderful NHS. My heart is fixed now and I don't even need drugs, so I'm lucky. But it made me very weak and it took quite a time to feel ok again. I was very wobbly on my feet for some time. I can only imagine what you have been, and still are experiencing.
Hang in there until the better weather. That always makes us feel better and you can get out in the garden a bit more. I found afternoon tea in the garden with my wife was a must whenever the weather was ok. It lifts one's spirits.
Currently my wife is recovering well from the corona virus. Fortunately she has had the disease quite mildly and hasn't suffered too much. Furthermore, I'm still free of symptoms so hoping I might just escape it, but nothings for sure. It's all a bit of a worry eh! Just stay away from everyone Jim and you'll be fine. Bests to you and your wife.
Speak again soon. Bye for now
Ian

Such a strange disease - many people seemingly have no symptoms at all, most have slight symptoms, but for 1% its sadly fatal.Data wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 5:10 am

Thanks Ian for your wishes for my wife and I, there’s not a lot more one can say in this time of lockdown without repeating, however we continue to survive (exist) between mails; it would be fantastic if, when this is all over, I could ride again and even come down to Colchester and meet you wonderful guys, yourself, Motzza, Harvey etc. It sure would make a long day’s outing from my outpost in the east of England, can’t be many Muppets here! - unless you know differently?

Re: Interesting
Not in the UK there aren't - they were extinct here by mid-2017, although one has risen like Lazarus and returned to the road in late 2019.
Re: the main importer in Ipswich, China Motorcycles... the second of these machines I got was one of theirs. It had been registered at new as a 125, presumably to make them easier to get rid of? The chap I bought it from insisted it was a 125, pointing to the V5c where it did indeed report the engine size as 125cc. He was mortified when I parked my Fusion next to it and took the seat off both of them He'd been riding it on L-plates...

Re: Interesting
Hi Jim, I don't think I have any pictures of either of them, but here's my Helix when it was wearing a set of Jialing panels. They were sold in white or black, and they all had those distinctive silver flashes, and came with that copy Shoei top box. The box had speakers in originally, because the Jialing came with an appalling stereo in the boot, that would have made you sound like an ice-cream van had you used it. Where I had put Honda transfers on the rear panels, that was to cover up the holes where I'd levered off the Jialing badges!
(The screen it has on in this shot is a Sprint Touring item, the Jialing just had a standard shaped Helix screen).

Crikey, they have taken a nose dive then in the last couple of years. Interesting someone actually thought it was a 125. Lol...Jaz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:35 pmNot in the UK there aren't - they were extinct here by mid-2017, although one has risen like Lazarus and returned to the road in late 2019.

Not sure how many Muppets in your area Jim. Would be nice to meet up when possible. I know Motzza, Harvey & Roger would most likely be up for it.
