Thats a great site, as i am fairly new to all this i am still weary about filtering as it's something most vids dont cover in detail. 8-)

Don't rush it. It took me quite a good few months before I started filtering. I still hold off if I'm not confident about what's going on up ahead. (e.g. if I'm filtering on the right of a lane and need to turn left at the front, will I be able to?)

I am glad there wasn't anyone walking at the lights while he was filtering past the lorries as his line of sight was blocked he probably made an assumption that people don't cross the road on triple lane A roads.

The vehicle on the left should move before any vehicle on the right as this gives you an indication that its clear to move on. I filter to the rear of the lead vehicle and stop after all as soon as past the junction I could pass with ease.

Other than that nicely made and informative video.

If you are filtering there would be a vehicle on the left and since you are not suppose to go past the solid line at the front the answer is no, Sometimes there is a green box for cyclists and I have seen bikes & scooter in this box to turn left but its not there for are use.
If its not yours its mine.

Are these videos still available to view? All I get is that 'video is private' when attempting to play.

I DID once get mown down by just such an idiot taxi driver....I was on an 80cc Honda Lead - time 22.00 hrs (fortunate for me) right opposite Borough Police Stn. in London; This guy pulled out of a cab rank and did a U turn as I passed, I went underneath his cab, my scoot was damaged, I was more annoyed at his actions rather than hurt - or maybe it was adrenaline! But at 22.00hrs it was change-of-shift at the Police Stn. and Police appeared in droves from the nearby station.... The driver was nicked on the spot, later in court he was charged and convicted with Dangerous Driving, licence endorsed and given a considerable fine. His insurers paid for my scoot repairs but I was without it for about 3 weeks. That was some 40 years ago but I still remember it as thoughit was yesterday.

TAXI DRIVERS - Ugh I love em - UGH!
