My New SH125

Post by SH125Paul »

So filled the scoot up with 14 miles on the clock... and zero-ed the trip... then went for a 80 odd mile bimble on Sunday...
Commute Monday, Stopped on the way home for a pair of Tucano Muffs, Toasty Paws!
Commute Tuesday, All Good 30s and 40s - quick enough - great in traffic...
Hit the Red on the fuel gauge on the way to work this morning...
5.91lts brought the fuel level back up to the Max Level bar across the fuel filler hole... 151 miles, 116 mpg.
Brochure says 134mpg... but 116mpg 'real world' isn't bad and may get better as the scoot gets run in...
Quite fun in a sedate kind of way... defo the tool for the job...

Paul not sure if you looking for a screen for your sh for commuting, i have ordered one from germany, if your mirrors are 8mm threads and will fit a gap from mirror to mirror of 40 to 50 cm then i made an offer of £18 which was auto accepted so could try lower and work up 8-) thought it was good value at less than £32 delivered http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161744598202? ... Just back from 21st Moto...
3 weeks and 640 miles,
Ave 106mpg after 4 fill-ups...
1st / 600m service FOC, all is well...
Now considering going it alone rather than £120 every 2500 miles / 3 or 4 months...

personally i would paul, you are more than capable, its a honda and wont fingers crossed have any issues , then its just the consumable to change. what does the warranty book state or the owners manual say regarding services? so if you use genuine service parts will you be ok if anything happened ?
i am doing myself, i have 3 months to see if all ok , as first service is 3 months or 300 miles as WK stipulate 12 months warranty but the warranty book states must be done by a wk dealer :o for me that would be 3 services in 12 months which would cost 43% of the scoot cost... not worth it as its easy to do and look after, so going to do it "my way"

I'm sure you can 'self service' as long as you use honda parts, so it would be important to keep recipts in case a warranty/recall happens.
