I mentioned in another post that I need to use the Burg more this year to justify keeping it so apart from more day trips on it I`m also looking to do the odd weekend jaunt so as an example I am looking to do something like this .... plan a 6 hour-ish route on a nice mix of A&B roads, leaving saturday ( I live in Hyde nr. Stockport ) stay overnight in nothing fancy digs, small town /village with somewhere to eat, drink and socialise, then home via a different route on sunday

I`m looking to do the first one in June .......... anybody else up for this kind of thing ?

would have given it some thought but only have so much annual leave and most of it is already booked up for this year
I have a touring caravan and as the mrs said it cost too much to be an ornament and as the burg cost a lot less I cant use the same argument
