Nice ride in Gloucestershire

Post by rayb »

Nice ride around the back roads near Tewkesbury. Went o Odda's Chapel and the the Lower Lode Inn, lovely location on the Severn sightly spoilt by a surfeit of Harleys. :)

I saw the sign to the Yew Tree. I like riverside pubs.

We looked at lower lode inn for a Muppet meet but camp site facilities are not the best, so we ruled it out, better bet would be the red lion at wainlodes, camp site behind pub with good facilities big site but would be able to have a small area to ourselves had a chat with owners, we have been looking into it but don't think many Muppets would camp? We have looked at a few places trying to find somewhere suitable in the Cotswolds? For next year?

The Fleet inn at Twyinning is also nice on the Avon, but not at weekends, too busy with families

I was there this morning. The place is heaving at the weekend.
