Phil's Ride is now in it's 4th year and once again, it'll be on August Bank Holiday Sunday, the 25th August.
The venue this year has slightly changed in that we'll be starting from Southery playing field rather than the Old White Bell as we'll be visited by the East Anglian Air Ambulance, AngliaTWO (the one based at Cambridge) and it needs a safe place to land. The Helimed is scheduled to be present from 11am and will stay until 12.30pm whereupon it's departure will signal the start of the ride.
Once again the return route will be a marshalled 108 mile ride to Blakeney, or if you poses a 2 wheeled bike without an engine (apparently they do exist) there is a local 21 mile bicycle pub crawl route too.
Return to the Old White Bell should be c.4.30pm where you'll find a BBQ, live music all the way through the evening, a pretty amazing raffle and a cracking little auction.
So far Phil's Ride has raised £35,141.25 over the previous 3 years and currently [as this is being typed] our total is already £4,507.16.
Our target this year is 1p more than last year and stands at £16,780.82 and if we achieve this Jane, Phil's widow, will be having her head shaved at our wrap party, some time in November.
