I'm almost certain not to go now.

Temporary health dip, and the realisation today that I'm not going to be ready to ride very far on Sunday.

A crying shame as I have very fond memories of riding with Steve in the Autumn.

Next time, I hope.

:(

Nevermind... No point in suffering.

As long as it's dry I should be going along.

Hmm...learning to ride with the dct. I think dct is brilliant on the Honda. Hope you like it forever Dave. Let us know more about the bike. Haven't checked but did you do a review of your latest ride? ;)
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Chris, I'm not going. Wife made me see sense. I still get stabbing pains in the errr...ahem...area, but they are not too bad at the mo I think a fairly longish ride might make them much worse so I'm going to sit that one out (but stand up from time to time if you see what I mean  ). Continuing to recover though, so won't be long before I want to ride the Alaskan route to everywhere.

Data, thanks for your comment, hope you soon get fully recovered from this long health problem. I do belong to the NC700 forum as I had one in 2012, an X model as the S ones did not arrive in the UK then. The X model was a bit tall for me.
The 2016 s model I brought was an ex PCP Part exchange, the bike came back to Tippets Motors in Surbition with 20000 miles on it. The owner is a commuter biker and when it came in needed all consumables replaced which the dealer has done and left me with the detailed cleaning. It had a hugger, heated grips and crash bungs fitted.
I cant recommend Tippets more highly, it was on a buy it now Ebay deal, they included a full service, one years road fund licence and all new tyres, brake pads. It's a black model with red wheels and seat. I've fitted a monolock top box and managed to fit a 2 point Givi universal handlebar screen to it leaving the small fly screen in place.
Hopefully you'll be seeing it soon, regards Dave.

I'm afraid I'm not going. Too much on at the mo to lose a whole day. And have quite an ache in my arm from the flu jab.

Glad I didn't in the end. Went for a short ride to the coast with the old man and that that really tired me out.

They had a great day by all accounts.

I'll see if I can grab some of Rob and Perry's photos from FB later.

It was a good day, Rob made the good call of going to a local steam fair, we also did some town work, which is great fun on the little ones. Look for the snap of me under the danger Elderly people, some wag took that while others diverted my attention.
Thanks Rob for leading the ride and all the other riders for completing a good drop off system ride.
Steve would have enjoyed it, I will survey a route doing more of Steve's favorite byways routes, he had a key to a few 'BOAT' tracks, which we could ride and also a very steep hill climb.
