Day 3.
Today we will ride down to Lands End. We wake up Early - 0530 Early! The good weather has given way to Fog and Drizzle. the temperature has dropped to about 11c and It's definitely not ideal riding weather. We don't have time to reschedule so we're going for it anyway.
Steve is Smiling anyway
Frank decides he would rather stay at the Bunkhouse and watch the Monte Carlo F1 on the telly.
I load up and I'm glad I just added some more lighting.
Liam
Glad I brought my Fog City Pinlock and clear visor.
On Dartmoor the visibility is down to a few meters in places.
Crossing the Tamar into Cornwall
Italian Bike with Italian plates.
Stopping for Fuel for Steve again....
Waiting for the others to catch up with Uncle nob head and Steve
Rodger
Col
We're getting close now.
Arrived but you can't see the sea.
Murph's helmet...
As we were doing this ride for Charity (The Air Ambulance service), they let us ride our bikes round to the famous 'Lands End' Sign. Very generous.... They only Charged us £20 for the privilege!
We waited our turn and watched the other visitors pay for the privaledge of taking a picture.
Then it was our turn.
I took this one...
Then I handed my camera to some tourist so he could get me in the picture as well. Oh, how we all laughed as Alan shouted 'he's robbing your fookin camera!
This sign made me laugh...
Then the fog cleared just enough to see the sea..
Then we headed off to see St Michaels mount, and stopped for Fuel for Steve - again!
There it is
You can walk over at Low Tide
Still pissing down
At This point we split into 2 groups. There was Rodger, Murph, Liam, Alan, and Lyn who headed back to the Bunkhouse (100 miles or so) for their usual afternoon knap at their age. And then Me, Col, Steve and Andy the Hardcore riders headed off to the west coast for a look at Padstow and Port Isaac.
It was really pissing down now, but it was worth it.
Port Isaac is Featured in the TV programme 'Doc Martin'. AKA Port Wenn.
The steets are tiny!
In the program this is the Chemist run by Mrs Tischell
Doc Martins 'house'
We had a nice coffee here at 'Berts' restaurant.
Still raining as we headed back to Princetown. Steve had another Fuel Emergency and i had to find an open Petrol station with the the satnav.
But there was a glimpse of sunshine between the clouds and fog.
Crossing the River Tamar again
Back at the Bunkhouse it was another Evening in the Plume of Feathers. I had several 'Proper Jobs' and it was a good laugh.

Day 4.
The weather looks promissing at we get up another ungodly hour for no reason. It was so early we had to wait several hours before we could go and get breakfast!
Some of the group went home today as they had either had enough or had work etc.
We plan to go to Brixham and Dartmouth on the SE coast of the Peninsular today.
But first we need some Breakfast!
We were up so Early that we still need to kill some time, so me and Steve go for a little stroll round the village to take some pictures.
Dartmoor Prison
We finish that and head back ready to hit the road. Alan has an additional travel partner.
Lyn does his chain and lets me borrow a bit as well.
Everyone is assembled
Lets go.
Plymouth
Alan - again! he tells me that when you get to 50 never trust a fart or miss the chance to go for a piss.
Then we stop for a break and a walk along the Beach where the D-day Landings were practiced.
The Scenery was mostly fantastic!
But not always!
Brew time
back on the road.
Col trying to get a better view
Blackpool Sands
Waiting for the Ferry
On the Ferry
Brixham
We found a Banksy!
Then on the way back to the Bunkhouse, Col spotted a bit of smoke on Andys' Burgervan. I was Electrical smoke we could smell it. We diverted to the shortest route back to the Bunk just in case it Died. It made it back, but only just. We then spent hours removing the tupperware and discovered the Reg/reg connection had been on fire. Luckily I was carrying some crimps and tape in my toolkit and managed to rig up a temp fix although due to the shortened cables it had to sit out on the grab handle mounts. Still it got him the 400 miles home so he could get it done properly.
Andy explaining his predicament to his SO.
More beer and steak that evening!

Day 5
We woke up early again, but we found that Alan and Andy had already left. Leaving just the 3 of us. Me and Col had planned to ride back to Manchester up the A49 through the Welsh Borders to avoid the M5/M6. But that would have left Steve on his own who comes from Rotherham. So we rode up to the M5/M42 with him.
We did stop on Dartmoor to get some pictures of the wild Ponies on the way back. And rode round Exeter a few times looking for souvenirs for Family.
The fog and rain had returned this morning as well.
We stopped at taunton services and had our pants pulled down for a Coffee and a Microwaved sandwich
Then it was back to the Mile Munching
The split level bit near Bristol.
We didn't get wet, but it was close a couple of times.
And that's it. I got home and pushed the bike the Garage. I didn't have the energy to wash it or Unpack. I had work the next morning so it will have to wait till weekend.
I later found out that everyone got home ok and Even the bodged Reg/Rec on Andy's Burgervan hot him home.
Had a great time and got some good pictures and memories.
Where we going next?
