The Lake District.

Post by syntec4 »

Had a ride up to the Lake District yesterday. It was around 270 miles total. I'm trying to get the miles on so it can have it's first oil change on Friday. I've done about 500 since I collected it on Saturday.

A few pictures.

I think that's Coniston Old Man in front.

Caught these 2 on the Wyrnose Pass, I could smell the burning clutches on the ascent

Wow what fantastic countrside. How are you getting on with the bike?

I've got about 800 miles on mine now and only grumble would be tubless tyres - make sure you have some spares at home as I think only the larger Honda dealers actually stock them (I got a puncture after only 200 miles, typical!).

Oh and what's the sat nav holder you are using, I'm still looking for one for my phone.

I've got a tube on the way (Carry a rear it fits both). I bought some tyre lever/Spanners from Adventure Bike Wharehouse. They have the correct sizes for the wheel spindles. 22/27 I Think.

Satnav Holder is home made. Lyn made me one years ago which I forgot to take off a bike when I traded it. So I made another one.

Thanks for the reply, that bracket looks really neat. The innertubes are huge so good to know I can squeeze the rear one on the feont in an emergency.

If you or Lyn wanted to make a bracket for the same place for my phone I'd gladly pay for it 8-)
