Nice pics. Don't know if they were at the show but Royal Enfield have just launched a 650 twin, the Interceptor. I think it looks good and is also available in a cafe racer style with clip ons etc. but same engine, which they call the Continental GT.

When it goes on sale here in a few months, it is expected to be no more than about £6,000, its main competitor for this style of bike being the cheapest of the Triumph Bonneville variants, the similar looking Street Twin which costs about £2,000 more. However the Bonnie is likely to be better quality than the Enfield because historically at least, RE have suffered with quality control problems.

Thanks for showing us these. Seems to be a strong element of nostalgia, albeit with some modern engineering added. Was that a theme of the show or just your choices?

I have had two BMW 1200GS'ssss fabulous bikes, if my gear changing foot still worked i would have an Africa twin tomorrow..
If you look at the sales figs lots of people buy them..#
Some people like big machines and it would be a real shame if the choice was not there for all of us to make.
