Brighton Burn Up 11Sep11

Post by capitano »

4 of us rode down to the Brighton Burn Up today...and couldn't get in!!!

Such was the number of bikes there today Madeira Drive was full up by about 10am so we parked up on the top Marine Parade Road and walked through the event. :D

Hell of a lot of nice bikes there and as usual I've taken some (crap) photos of the ones I liked best and yes some of them ARE scooters!

Vespa GTS300 Super for practical runabout, Triumph Tiger Explorer for conquering the planet. Car almost obsolete.

I did it one year from Birmingham to Ace cafe and the run down to Brighton we had to park way back on some grass .From the Ace its called Brighton Burn out then on Trad forums its Deck chairs at Dawn .I d like to do it again but would stay down there the Ride from the Ace isnt that good IMHO its all motorway and dual carridgeway and gets very fragmented till you get to Brighton then it all builds up again.Julian

The reason they take that route is to keep everyone together as much as possible on major roads. There are always moans about the route on every bike forum I've ever been on.

We've always taken a better route simply because we know the area, and a fair few others take the same route now. :D
