37bhp is rather an odd amount....rather more than the normal 33bhp (is there still a licencing reason for 33bhp?) but somewhat less than the 500s.

My mistake, it's 35hp. I think that's linked to the new learner limits.

First blank filled in on the website now. It's the mk2 Satelis 125. EDIT: price is £3999.

You say that now, but in five years it'll all be about the 2-strokes again. T-Max with an RD500LC motor anyone..?

Price of the Metropolis (nearly) official in France, according to Scoot Infos -

This is not yet an official information, but many corroborating sources allow us to assert that the rate currently contemplated by Peugeot responsible for the new three-wheeled scooter Metropolis 400 is € 8,890 .
This model will be available in concession 2 May 2013. Here are its main features:

- Peugeot 399 cm3 Engine: 37.2 hp and 38.1 Nm (Piaggio MP3 500: 40 hp and 46.5 Nm)
- Dry Weight: 258 kg (MP3 500: 253 kg)
- Front axle to a single shock (two MP3)
- Combined braking lever left (only pedal MP3)
- Locking front balancer (ditto Roll Lock Piaggio)
- Screens windshield height adjustable (ditto MP3 500)
- adjustable driver backrest (Peugeot exclusive)
- LED daytime running lights (Peugeot exclusive)
- electric parking brake (Peugeot exclusive)
- electronic ignition key (exclusive to Peugeot)
- Tire Pressure dash (Peugeot exclusive)
- Glove compartment with 12 V socket (Peugeot exclusive)
- Flat floor (central tunnel on MP3)
- Space for full and half-jet (ditto MP3)

Price competition:
Piaggio MP3 500: 8999 € (in UK £6299)
Piaggio MP3 Touring 300: 6999 € (in UK £5799)
Piaggio MP3 300 Yourban: 6099 € (in UK £5699)

So it looks like the Metropolis could go on sale for around £6k to £6.5k. That's a lot of money for a Peugeot scooter.

And they've also tested the Satelis mk2 in 300cc form and they seem to like it. http://www.scooter-infos.com/essai-1831 ... -plus.html

But this looks to me suspiciously like all Peugeot have done is get a Satelis mk1 250cc in Premium spec (no ABS), swap the Quasar 244 for a Quasar 278 and fitted Satelis mk2 body panels. The article says they suspect it is a stop-gap until the 400 comes along, which could be why the official UK website does not refer to a 300 model in the pipeline, only a 400.

Without ABS (bizarre not to have it on a Peugeot) I won't be buying one. Looks like I'll be saving up for the 400 and keep my 58 plate 250 Executive for a few more miles yet.

Eh? :?

No, sorry I put that message through Google Translator as well looked it up in a thesaurus and I still don't understand the concept you're getting at. Not buy a Peugeot? No, it doesn't make sense.

Metropolis seen on-street in France. That's a serious lean angle.

Dealer close to work reckons there might be news on the Satelis 400 in the next week or two.
