My K3 Burgman 400 does drink it's oil it seems. I changed the oil and topped it up to max. I done a 150mile
journey, around 100miles was A/B road's at 40-60mph and the remaining 50miles at 70mph. I checked the
oil the next morning to discover it halfway up the dipstick. I topped it up with about 150-200ml of oil.
I know oil consumption was common on the K3-K6 400 models but does this sound about right or is it a little excessive?

also check the plug and see if its brown, could be the piston rings letting it through slightly and burning it, i would also advise using a cleaner to add to the petrol like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320892220460? ... 1439.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;pikey wrote:take air filter out see if its spat it in to airbox
it will keep the build up from forming on cylinder walls and injector and valves and seals, i use the above periodically and its a concentrated version, i use 20ml for £7 of fuel so it lasts a long time, wont harm if burning a little oil, but you just have to check it, and keep your engine clean, also if your airfilter bypass has a plastic tube that goes to underbody it will need emptying occasionally to stop build up
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
