avon vipers on a k7

Post by amsmtb »

Hi guys bit of an odd one this i had a set of viper Stryker fitted mainly down to cost i did do some research before and what i found out was a bit mixed some hate them some say ok with caution some even love them.
now what im finding is they scare the hell out of me and they have made me really loose confidence in cornering i go around bends like a terrified kid. Has any one had the same problem and is there anything short of removing and putting hoops back on again i can do or is it just me being overly concerned they are now run in 300 miles plus can i start to relax a little?
will air pressure make a difference with grip?

I would ditch them ASAP. I had one put on the front on my SYM 250 and it felt awful!
It felt like it wasn't gripping at all and one time at around 60mph the wheel and handlebars
started to shake violently from side to side! I had it taken off and replaced with City Grips and
have had no trouble since. I would never have an Avon Viper styke again! The Sava Diamonds I
had on my SYM were better (though not as the City grips) and a similiar price to the Avons.
