I think the ZA comes with ABS and heated grips as standard (The luxury model!) but there'll be an expert along in a minute...

Still waiting for an expert but I think the z is for trim level and the A is for ABS (im basing that on the current ABS model being a 400A)
On the 650 they called it the "Exec" and some dealers call it the 400 exec. but only rarely heard punters use that phrase.

If you are buying, the ZA has
ABS
Special paint (usually metal flake type)
Different coloured wheels
Heated grips
Passenger Back rest
Wood effect dash trim
Hand guards
and a little badge on the back saying "limited", which hopefully means limited edition :)
They only produced/imported limited numbers (either 40 or 90, can't remember which) and I think only for the K9 and L0 but possibly K8?

Just been round to the back end of my 400ZA abs L2 to look at the badge and it says 'Limited'. Now my teachers at school always said that about me... And it has taken me years to work my way down to where I am now too so they must have been right :o . Seriously, I have the heated grips, anti-lock brakes, hand guards, passenger backrest, special paint job (oh yes they said I was special too!), and trim around the circumference of each wheel. That's one thing that sold it to me! The paint finish... And Bluebottle has already covered this so my post is of no value whatsoever.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 54 years & owned too many bikes to list here...
