MBK Ocito 125/Yamaha Nmax 125

Post by Capt. R Swipe »

Can anyone shed any light on the MBK Ocito 125? It looks exactly like the new Nmax 125. Are they the same scooter? Is MBK in cahoots with Yamaha?

Cheers Clive. How long has that been going on? Is this a small scoot collaboration-in-cahoots type of arrangement?

So who is making it for whom?

Quote......1984: MBK Industrie takes over the activities of Motobécane, with a new partner: Yamaha Motor Company Ltd..

Its just badge engineering.....Yamaha with a MBK badge on it.

All the Xmax models have MBK equivalents.
Never seen them marketed here though, just in France.

Halfords tried to sell some MBK models back around 2002, I think.

Thank you all.

I came across a youtube vid with both names in the title and was then confused. I've learned summat new today then. I googled the names and they were formed all those years ago Clive. Those facts have slipped me by. I guess they do this same 'badge engineering' in the bike world as they do in the car world.
