I checked the tyre pressures on my Burgman 650 and have found out why its not been as sure footed as normal lately.

Left mine at home today. Too windy for a long commute on the A12.

Very wise!
I looked to see if the Silverwing was still where I left it; the courtyard here is prone to swirling winds so the bike could have been anywhere.
I ventured out on my bicycle - it's less than half-a-mile into the centre of town - and survived.
I hardly pedalled on the way in with the gale behind me; had to drop into Power Mode and a very low gear to get home!Fortunately, the roads are almost completely devoid of traffic - few people out-and-about, either.

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
FInally got around to it this morning after a brown trousers moment last night when the rear tyre slipped out on a roundabout riding home... It was only 2 psi under so doubt it was the cause, the front was 3 psi under. I usually check every weekendFunkycowie wrote:Thanks for reminding me! Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Well, I was going for a ride as the weather wasn't too bad. Got kitted up and the garage opened. Thought I'd check the tyres and oil. Front tyre ok. Rear tyre 0.50, WTF! - Spun the wheel and found a large cross-head screw slap in the middle of the tyre, as though it had been screwed in!!
Moral - always check your tyres before you ride!!!!!

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
as today was sunny instead of cold, i ventured outside to tackle a job been meaning to do, changed over the golf ball headlamp bulb today for a 35/35w halogen bulb, and changed the T10 sidelight bulb as well for a 5 smd led Xenon white bulb, so i wont have to ever change it . a lot brighter than the standard filament bulb, was a faf taking screen off and 2 of the screws were challenging, but got there in the end. the bulbs are below if any wk 300 owner wants to change them over, the other T10 sidelight bulb ( u get two) will replace the numberplate T10 bulb when i get to it, as thats only a 5 min job.
