This looks decent

Post by smeghead »

I was just playing around ont' 'tinternet and found this; http://www.rieju.co.uk/index.php/rieju- ... i-abs.html It looks very decent. ABS 300cc for £3500 can't be bad. And it's available in red!

I like the look of their wee electric thing. That's got me thinking.
I blame it on old age

Yeah, its a pretty looking thing. Am I right in thinking its the ancient Malaguti Madison brought back from the grave for another spin (with different engines?) Or am I getting confused with something else?

Yes, it may well be based on that old Malaguti as this review hints: https://www.o2w.co.uk/first-ride-rieju-city-line-300/

Notice that it is cheaper now than it was last year.

Bit low on power (21hp) compared to more modern stuff, but still good value for money.

Motor and exhaust look very piaggio to me.

Looking at the magazine review above, its a different engine/exhaust than what is on the bike on website in the first post.

Interesting that Rieju have gone back to scooters. Their fan base always seemed to come from their Enduro success.

They did a couple of scooters in the '50's but I can't think of one since (?)

looks good but for 4K i rather not spend that on a Chinese branded scooter rather spend it on a bigger brand who i know has high quality control compared to the Chinese scooter brands

Yes, Rieju is Spanish, but its not impossible that the scoot is made elsewhere eg China! Especially as it could have been sold by different people at different names.

C'mon Spanish speakers, how do you say Rieju properly? Ray-hu?? Ree--hu???
