The 'sillly' season for new scooter announcements has begun...
According to this, BMW are going to announce a new scoot at EICMA, probably 400cc

Apparently Kymco are going to unveil two new scoots - the C Concept X-ADV-styled thing unveiled a while back, and something else about which almost nothing is known, apart from a picture of some very sporty looking headlamps!!

The BMW that is forecast:
http://www.motociclismo.it/galleries/single/68332/3
It looks to me very similar to many other scooters from Yam etc. so I guess the interesting thing will be the actual spec.
As for the language you can use Google translate - a box appears at top right asking if you want to do so. GT does a reasonable job though it's not perfect and sometimes comes up with some strange expressions. Far better than nothing if you don't understand a language.
As for "foreign", it looks like you and I are the foreigners in this case as it's an Italian show.

A little bit more on the Kymco concepts
http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-new ... epts-eicma
Even shows a roofed version!
I'm beginning to like the ADV-alike. It seems to have a clever system where a topbox can be mounted where the pillion seat normally would be, thus not needing racks sticking out behind the scoot and centralising the weight.

Yamaha did it some years back with the Exciter 250, interchangeable topbox or pillion seat ....MrGrumpy wrote: It seems to have a clever system where a topbox can be mounted where the pillion seat normally would be, thus not needing racks sticking out behind the scoot and centralising the weight.

Love the Super Cub! I'd have one.
