More help re start the bike with side stand down

Post by Adyhbris »

Hi guys/gals
Sorry to ask another question but I’m on a steep learning curve [emoji16]

I’ve seen on YouTube a way of starting the burgman 650 with the side stand down by putting on the hand brake, however I’m on a 2015 650 and the handbrake is by my left thigh and not on the dash, is there a way of starting with the side stand down or maybe bypassing the none start thing with the side stand down?

Also why is this a “safety feature” am I missing something as it doesn’t seem unsafe to me?

Cheers
Ady

Forget to lift the side stand & get to the first lefthand corner & you'll find out bud ;) I did it on an RD250 back in the day  it's no fun :o
Have wheels, will travel :D

Really? Think about it it's designed like that for a reason.
