Thanks Both of you ...They did let me go home today so that would have been a week trying to breathe as much as my body could let me..I never had this strengh of flu before but it is effectively nasty...Glad I am home and carrying on the antibiotics per mouth instead of a drip...Will look after Scooty3 until I can get out again...so not out of the woods yet but going towards that way..;)...Now re the running in period...I have done mine in a gradual way but not forcing anything...or not wrecking the sequences even if I wish it could be quicker...I still go up bit by bit though , it is hard to try to calm down the begging roaring of the xmax wanting to go much higher...so I grant it 30 sec of throttle then back to normal...I can hardly wait to push it and fly...then that silly flu got me...will wait until I am steadier then finihs the job..:) Some good days are coming...!! See you later...

Trying to be glass half-full: Can you imagine how gutted you would feel if you were ill when the weather was nice and there's a good scooter waiting to be ridden? You've done well to be ill when the weather was crap.

Anyway, I'm sure MrGrumpy's thread on getting rid of his winter gear will curse the weather long enough for you to get fit before the sun comes out properly.

Very very true Mr StephenC...Sniffing between two bolts, I kitted out Scooty3 with the sat case and the go pro hilder when I will want it on...Can hardly wait to see Ralph's scoots with the handlebars moved forward...if this is still the case...Put the datatag everywhere on scooty3 but waiting to know how to remove the panel for access to everything that matters ( including fuse box etc) especially on a long trip...Access seems to be less straight forward than on a bike but I'll spend some time with the dealer to show me how to do that...Let me know if you know of a quick course for general maintenance or some good youtube video and I will be grateful ..back to my tissue now..:)

 Well, it was sunny yesterday, and only -3C at night! That sounds like a NE Spring to me!

No doubt Newcastle was full of yoofs in T-shirts or mini dresses.

We're too soft down south to do that. I wandered to the pub in a heavy winter coat.

Mines now at just over 1300 miles not moved the bars after much thinking about it I am
leaving them were they are for a bit I sit well back on the seat and I would likely end up
leaning to far forward, It looks easy to do the bolts are under the aluminium cover held
by a allen key on the bars, put the screen back to low as well as I was missing or rather
hitting to many pot holes
With the front you take the two screws on the back of the ears out, you can then ease
the front out a little from the ears, you then gently spread the top outwards there are
little clips that fit in slots, once they are clear you pull the front downwards it is easy
once you have done it once but a bugger first time.
For those like me that ride in out of the way places were fuel can be hard to find I played
a game of dares with the fuel gauge, it started to cut out about 10 yards from a station
so running at between 45 and 60 with a few miles at 70 the answer is 303 miles and 101 mpg
and it took 13.63 litres to fill, from starting to flash low fuel to cutting out 58 miles.
