Anyone got a spare bar end for a 650 lying about? Or recommend a replacement...

Seems to be a bit of a thing with Burgmans losing their bar-end weights. I've had them 'go walkies' on both of my 400s. Seems it affects 650s as well.

It's the cheapo rubber compression bung -- it's pedal cycle technology :? A metal wedge or spline would sort it, but of course would cost Suzuki an extra 50p

If it's not too much bother that would be great -- let me know the postage. Inside diameter is 18mm. Not sure about steel or Al TBH, guess there's not much difference once they're in an Al cheaper to post!

cheers

I will make myself a pair of stainless weights and anyone remember the bar end mirrors from 60s/70s they had a positive fitting method that rarely came undone? Will knock something like that up, mine have come loose couple times on my 650.Tip for making them regarding radius, don’t use a form tool put it on with a flapwheel or scotchrite wheel in a windy tool

I only had the one lump of mild steel and the stainless i have is only 1' or 25mm can't remember off hand.. form tool was what i had, don't have a flap wheel. and never use a grinder since a stone broke up on me and a lump about 3" long parted my hair...not nice.
