Meldrew wrote:Hi bud, one of attractions of the long and low Helix is it's 26" seat height, so the passenger seat won't be as high as most other maxi scooters, although it's always looked a little on the small side. The Helix is also relatively easy to move about at 345 lbs.

Meldrew dear chap, now you're rubbing it in....I'm missing my original Helix, it had just one fault from brand new - if one let go the bars the bike always leaned to the left making it somewhat tiring on longer journeys, but with my other bike a '52 Sunbeam S8 I can let go the bars and it continues in a straight line, good old British bike!

My Burgman has 11,000 odd miles not 1100 which was a mis-print, of course it goes like proverbial S... of a shovel but it is far too heavy for me really.

Interesting to learn of the Foresight, I'd not heard of it before but it too seems scarce as hens teeth.
I'm wanting a Helix in good nick to ride, not as a project bike, my back does not take to bending like it used to.

Thanks Meldrew, quite a difference in seat height then but the weight is much less that my Burgman K8 400, which by the way I'm asking for £2000 or nearest, its currently 'on the road' so to speak and soon to renew its MOT, its a good bike with good tyres and the best 'extras'. MMAO

Hi bud, on the Foresight the 29" seat height is three inches taller than the Helix, and the weight is about the same.
Hi Bern & Meldrew, thanks both for the info, I'm following that one up, seat 3" higher - is that front or back? 29"

This looks good...

Bern and Meldrew, Thanks guys for the tip off, did hear (via official scources) that only 27 of these were imported to the UK, I've bought the Foresight above and look forward to trying the wife for fit....,!
What could go wrong with a 5,000 mile bike? - actually its in good order and the seller is arranging a new MOT to be done by an outside firm next week, then just remains to sort delivery. I'll place seperate details of the 2009 Burgman that is now available for sale.
