Re: My scooter has been stolen
I have had an offer of £4200 minus my excess of £300 (not £800 as I thought - don't know where I got that figure from.) I have found one on the net for £4999. OK so it's a dealer sale and lower mileage than mine (6200 as against 9300) but it is a 2016, mine being a 2017. I have replied to their offer with a link. worth a try.

The first year is the big drop so I'd have expected them to lop a third off for it being a year old, so it's about right.Burgman1958 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 7:30 pm I have had an offer of £4200 minus my excess of £300 (not £800 as I thought - don't know where I got that figure from.) Always worth a try though.
If you are looking to replace it with a used one, aren't bothered about age, but want low mileage, there is one for less than £4k in Hinckley.

Good find capitano - that’s a lot of scooter for the price though he could consider the Kawasaki J300 being sold by a muppet on this very site

Not recently, no.
My ideal would be to have a scooter supported by a main dealer locally that I trust. That means 3 main dealers local to me.
One is solely Kawasaki.
One is Piaggio/Vespa.
One is Suzuki/Yamaha/Peugeot/Sinnis.
The nearest Honda main dealer is 25 miles away and I wouldn't pi$$ on them if they were on fire!

Re: My scooter has been stolen
You are lucky - there are two main dealers near me, one does Peugeot, the other does Honda/Kawa/Suzuki and have recently stopped doing Yamaha. I recently used the former Yamaha dealer for the Tmax 6 and they seem to made its issues worse, set the tyres to the wrong pressure, and failed to reset the oil trip meter. I tried to avoid them and now won't go there again! Snag is the nearest dealers for most things are now 40 miles away.capitano wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 1:10 pm

Thanks for the info capitano, but I would rather have a new one. More like the one I have lost.capitano wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:14 amThe first year is the big drop so I'd have expected them to lop a third off for it being a year old, so it's about right.Burgman1958 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 7:30 pm I have had an offer of £4200 minus my excess of £300 (not £800 as I thought - don't know where I got that figure from.) A J 300 sounds the way to go then.capitano wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 1:10 pmNot recently, no.
