I was out on my Scoot today and I forgot the time and it turned dark.
I had a 20 mile journey to do on unlit roads.
These lights are downright dangerous!
Main beam is almost non-existent.
I can’t remember having worse lights on a bike
I will have a go at finding the adjuster because they are definitely set too low.
When following cars it only lights upto there number plates :(

You know what? I looked at your post, realised there was an obvious response but then thought better of it and moved away. But a moment later I realised I couldn't leave it so here we are:

How can anyone get their teeth behind the lights to adjust the bolt? Unless they're dentures, of course.

It’s just a thought but in the states the indicators come out of the the two holes which are being covered with Yamaha badges on the front of the XMax,surely that would be a great place to fit some auxiliary lights for those who ride at night. You could even get some of the genuine US indicators and adapt them.

I wonder how it is that the manufacturer has not already optimised the beam setting to suit the rquirements of the country of destination ..

Or maybe they have & the new technology doesn't match up to the expectations of the users in respect of the beam pattern they are accustomed to, instead of the actual area of illumination led's give

Great idea :)
I am going to search the ‘Net’ for some auxiliary lights with the wires feeding down the stems.
All the wiring will be internal and will make for a neat job :)

Japan drives on the same side as us but I suppose the weight of the rider may have some effect I know I eat to many pies so maybe some bearing on it, now it may be easier to adjust on a nice foggy night maybe see were it really is pointing

On a foggy night you need the beam as concentrated as possible & not a broard spead of light away into the distance as possible, which is where most posters on this thread seem to think the light should be aimed
